Union Home Minister Amit Shah has appreciated the anti -Naxal action of security forces in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. 16 Naxalites were killed in this encounter, while a large number of automatic weapons have also been recovered. Shah called it another decisive attack on Naxalism and reiterated that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is determined to end Naxalism by 31 March 2026.

Amit Shah wrote on social media platform ‘X’,
“Another attack on Naxalism! Our security agencies have piled 16 Naxalites in Sukma and recovered a large cache of automatic weapons. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are committed to ending Naxalism by 31 March 2026.”
He appealed to the people who took up arms to quit violence, saying,
“Weapons and violence cannot change, only peace and development can bring changes.”

Joint teams of District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) participated in this major encounter in Sukma.
Sukma SP Kiran Chavan said that the bodies of 16 Naxalites have been recovered from the encounter site. Two soldiers were injured in the operation, who have been rushed to the hospital for treatment. He said that a large stock of advanced weapons including AK-47, SLR and INSAS rifles has also been seized.
