A very big and relief news has come to the fore for lakhs of passengers and businessmen traveling between the border areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh (Purvanchal) and Bihar. The construction work of Ghazipur-Ballia-Manjhighat Greenfield Expressway being built by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is being completed rapidly. With the construction of this 134 km long 4-lane expressway costing more than ₹ 5,300 crore, the main districts of Purvanchal will have direct connectivity with Chhapra, Buxar and Patna of Bihar as well as the state capital Lucknow and the country’s capital New Delhi. Planting trees using Miyawaki method: Fencing and dividers on both sides of the expressway using Miyawaki method for approx. 70,000 aromatic and shade plants are being installed.

Balanced Ecosystem: In this, 40 thousand saplings will be planted in Ballia area and 30 thousand saplings will be planted in the border of Ghazipur district, due to which the expressway will look completely pollution-free and green.
Smart traffic management and economic boom

ATMS System: For safety reasons, Automatic Traffic Management System (ATMS) is being implemented on the entire expressway, which includes speed-checking cameras, CCTV and emergency calling booths.

Promotion of real estate and agricultural trade: The development of logistics hubs, warehousing and residential colonies has gained momentum in areas around the expressway such as Sagarpali, Chitbargaon, Phephna and Jangipur. Also, the fresh produce/vegetables of the farmers of Ballia and Ghazipur will be able to directly reach the big markets of Patna and Lucknow at a fast pace without getting spoiled.
