A very big and positive news has come to light related to the Patna Metro Rail Project, which will soon provide relief to the residents of Bihar’s capital Patna from traffic jams. The civil infrastructure construction work of the 5.5 km long elevated viaduct to be built between Khemnichak to Old Mithapur Bus Stand under the Metro’s Priority Corridor and Corridor-2 (Patna Junction to New ISBT) is very close to completion. The construction work is going on at a very fast pace under the supervision of the Urban Development and Housing Department and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). U-Girder and pillar erection work almost finished
According to senior DMRC engineers, more than 90% of the work of launching pillars and U-girders on this entire 5.5 km long elevated stretch has been completed:

Fast Track Construction: The work of laying viaduct on the elevated track between Khemnichak, Jaganpura, Ramakrishna Nagar and Mithapur has been completed expeditiously.

Station building work continues: The casting work of civil structures (Concourse Level & Platform Level) at all the elevated stations in this stretch has been completed and now finishing and interior work is going on.
Khemnichak will become the biggest interchange station of Patna Metro.

Interchange Station: Both Corridor-1 (Danapur to Khemnichak) and Corridor-2 (Patna Junction to New ISBT) will meet at Khemnichak station.

Convenience to passengers: With the construction of this interchange station, passengers of North and South Patna will be able to reach their destination easily by changing trains without any hassle.
Connectivity will be better from old Mithapur bus stand
