Ghaziabad to Dadri Elevated Road: 12 km long 6-lane elevated road will be built from Lalkuan to Dadri! ₹2300 crore project will provide relief from severe traffic jams every day

A very good news has emerged for lakhs of drivers traveling daily between Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida and Bulandshahr. Now a 12 kilometer long and 6-lane elevated road is going to be built between Lalkuan and Dadri, the busiest and jam-affected part of GT Road and NH-34. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has given the green signal to this ambitious infrastructure project costing about ₹2300 crore. From a reporter’s point of view, this elevated corridor will not only reduce the increasing traffic pressure of Delhi-NCR, but will also give a new impetus to the upcoming ‘New Noida’ project.

You will get relief from daily traffic jam forever

This entire area of Lalkuan, Badalpur and Dadri is known for hours-long traffic jams every day:

  • Pressure of heavy vehicles: Heavy and light vehicles going from Ghaziabad to Greater Noida, Bulandshahr, Khurja, Aligarh and Agra pass through this main road.

  • Will work like bypass: After the construction of this 12 km long elevated road, long distance traffic will flow from above, while local and slow vehicles will use the existing road below. This will make signal-free movement possible.

Budget of ₹2300 crore and tender in October

The highlights and timelines of the project are as follows:

  • Estimated Cost: About ₹2,300 crore will be spent on the construction of this 6-lane elevated corridor.

  • Tender Deadline: NHAI and the Ministry of Road Transport are finalizing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of this project and are preparing to issue its official tender.

  • Boost to New Noida: Due to ‘New Noida’ (DNGIR) being developed by Noida Authority near Dadri, the traffic here is going to increase manifold in the coming days. This elevated road is being prepared keeping that future need in mind.

The journey to Aligarh and Bulandshahr will be very easy.

With the commencement of this project, not only will the travel time of the local residents of Ghaziabad and Noida be reduced to half, but the movement to other districts of Western Uttar Pradesh will also become much easier. With the construction of the proposed new flyover and connecting ramp at Lalkuan intersection, vehicles coming from Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) will also get the best option to go directly towards Dadri and NH-91.
