This time ‘Dabangg’ actress Sonakshi Sinha is in the headlines for one of her high-profile real estate deals. According to reports, Sonakshi has rented out her luxury apartment located in Bandra West, one of the most expensive and elite areas of Mumbai, to the Embassy of Kuwait.
Kuwait Embassy will pay a huge rent of Rs 1.92 crore annually for this luxurious house. This deal is considered to be one of the largest and most expensive residential rental deals this year in Mumbai’s luxury real estate market.
Kuwait’s Consul General will be the new tenant
This premium apartment has been rented as the official residence of Kuwait’s Consul General Imad Abdul Aziz Al-Kharaj. He will stay here with his family and personal staff. According to property registration documents, the carpet area of this sea-facing flat is about 4,350 square feet. It also includes a separate washroom area of 27 square feet for support staff. The house is located on a high floor of ’81 Aureate’, the famous and luxurious residential building of Bandra West, which offers beautiful views of the Arabian Sea and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

Legal process completed in May 2026
The official registration of this rental deal was completed on 25 May 2026. Due to diplomatic status, the Consul General of Kuwait was exempted from appearing in person at the sub-registrar office under the rules. Stamp duty of Rs 96 thousand and registration fee of Rs 1 thousand has been paid for this entire paperwork. Under this deal, the tenant has also been given three reserved car parking slots.

Sonakshi is now more active on OTT than films
Talking about the work front, Sonakshi Sinha has been a part of very select and special projects for some time now. Her last Hindi releases in theaters were the horror film ‘Nikita Roy’ (July 2025) and the South film ‘Jatadhara’ (November 2025). In the year 2026, she is completely focusing on OTT platforms.
