
Lucknow, 30 July. To make the disabled people economically empowered and self-reliant, ‘Divyangjan Employment Campaign 3.0’ is being organized across the state by the Yogi government from 3 to 10 August 2026.
State Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it is the priority of the government to connect the disabled with respectable livelihood. He said that the objective of this special initiative of Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission is to provide employment and self-employment opportunities to the disabled youth who have received skill training and other eligible interested disabled youth as per their ability and skills.
During the campaign, special employment activities will be organized in all the government ITIs of the state. Along with employment, disabled candidates will also be given information about various self-employment schemes. The District Industry and Export Promotion Center will coordinate with industrial units and business institutions to collect information about vacancies, while the MSME Department will provide assistance in loans and financial assistance through self-employment schemes and lead banks.
District Divyangjan Empowerment Officer and District Employment Assistance Officer will link the candidates registered on the Rojgar Sangam portal with the vacancies. The special thing about the campaign is that physical verification of the disabled people benefited in the last two phases will also be done, so that their current condition can be assessed.
It is the intention of Yogi government that no disabled person should be deprived of employment. Wide publicity is being given for this. A district level committee has been formed in each district under the chairmanship of the Chief Development Officer, which will monitor and coordinate the campaign. By August 10, the details of the beneficiaries from all the districts will be sent to the government and the District Magistrates and their teams of the top five districts providing maximum employment and self-employment will be honored with certificates at the government level. Regarding its preparations, on July 30, Mission Director Pulkit Khare held an online meeting with all the CDOs and concerned officials and gave necessary guidelines.
