News India Live, Digital Desk: There has been a ruckus in the political circles as soon as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and NDA released the ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025. While on one hand BJP is calling its promises as ‘Modi’s guarantee’ and is calling it a roadmap for the development of Bihar, on the other hand Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has termed it as a ‘bundle of lies’ and ‘imitation’.

RJD’s Rajya Sabha MP and one of the most vocal faces of the party, Professor Manoj Jha Has given a sharp reaction to this resolution letter. He has seriously accused BJP of not only making false promises but also ‘copying’ the ideas and plans of Tejashwi Yadav.

“The resolution letter is a photocopy of Tejashwi’s vision.”

Manoj Jha while talking to the media said, “The resolution letter that has come today is actually a very ugly photocopy of the work that Tejashwi Yadav ji has done in the last 17 months and his vision for the future.”

He sarcastically said that copying also requires intelligence, which BJP does not have. He said that BJP does not have any original idea of its own, hence they are trying to copy-paste the model of employment and development given by Tejashwi Yadav.

“Why is there not as much investment in Bihar as in Gujarat?”

Manoj Jha asked a direct and piercing question to BJP on the promise of bringing big investments in Bihar in the resolution letter. He said, “You have been in power in the country for 10 years and have been a part of the double engine government in Bihar too. If you had to bring investment, then why did you not bring it in the last 10 years?”

he adds, “Even today you are just selling dreams. Is Bihar not a part of this country? Why don’t you bring as much investment to Bihar as you do in Gujarat? Are the people of Bihar just a vote bank for you?”

What happened to the old guarantees?

Raising questions on ‘Modi’s guarantee’, Manoj Jha said that BJP should give account of its old guarantees before giving new guarantees. He said:

  • Special status: What happened to the promise of giving special status to Bihar?
  • 2 crore jobs: It was promised to provide 2 crore jobs every year, where are those jobs?
  • Money earned by doing dishonest things: What happened to bringing back black money and putting Rs 15 lakh in everyone’s account?

Manoj Jha said that the people of Bihar will no longer fall prey to statements and false promises. This election will be based on work, and the public will see who has worked on the ground and who is just talking.
