Imagine, you wake up one morning and your WhatsApp stops working! All your important messages and contacts may get stuck. What would you do? At most you will email the company. But a female doctor directly reached the country’s biggest court, the Supreme Court, regarding this matter!

And what happened there surprised everyone.

What is the whole matter?

It so happened that the WhatsApp account of a female doctor was suddenly closed on September 13. When he asked WhatsApp the reason, he did not get any direct answer, it was only told that his account will remain blocked in future also.

On this, Doctor Sahiba felt that this was a violation of her rights! He filed a petition in the Supreme Court and asked that his WhatsApp account be activated immediately.

Supreme Court gave a funny answer

When the hearing of the case began, Justice Sandeep Mehta asked the doctor’s lawyer a very direct and logical question:
“How did using WhatsApp become your fundamental right?”

What the judge said next was even more interesting. Giving suggestion, he said, “What if WhatsApp is not working? There are many other apps also. You should use ‘Arattai’ app.”

So what is this ‘Arattai’, which is now being mentioned even in the Supreme Court?

‘Arattai’ is actually India’s own, ‘desi WhatsApp’.

  • Who made it?: This Zoho Made by a big Indian tech company named.
  • What can be done?: In this too, like WhatsApp, you can do chatting, audio-video calls, sending photos-videos, sending voice notes… that is, everything.
  • How did it become so popular?: Recently, when Prime Minister Modi appealed to adopt ‘Swadeshi’ i.e. things made in India, this app became popular like a rocket. It did wonders and reached number 1 on Apple App Store in India, beating apps like WhatsApp and Signal!

So next time if your WhatsApp also throws tantrums, then you know what the country’s biggest court has suggested!
