The holy Amarnath Yatra for the devotees of Baba Barfani is going to start from 3rd July 2026. To conduct this holy pilgrimage in a completely safe and peaceful manner, the security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir have been strengthened to an unprecedented and historic level. Just before the start of the Yatra, all the security agencies and intelligence departments are fully prepared and on alert mode to foil any possible terrorist plot.
Combing operation near the border in RS Pura sector, keeping an eye on every suspect
To avoid any lapse in the security of the devotees, an impenetrable multi-layered security cordon has been prepared from the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) to the main travel route. In this series, Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary forces conducted a massive joint search operation in sensitive villages adjacent to the International Border in RS Pura sector of Jammu. The security forces are keeping a close watch on every small suspicious activity so that there is no breach in security from the border areas.
High alert in Jammu division: Intelligence input reveals conspiracy of 45 foreign terrorists
Following highly confidential and serious intelligence inputs received by security agencies, high alert has been declared in the entire Jammu division. According to intelligence reports, about 45 foreign terrorists are currently active in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir, who are planning to disrupt the holy Amarnath Yatra or carry out some major violent incident. It is believed that these terrorists are associated with notorious Pakistan-backed terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and are in constant touch with their masters sitting across the border.
Close inspection of fields and vacant houses, local residents also interrogated
Keeping these serious security threats in mind, the fields, gardens, abandoned old houses, banks of canals and sensitive places in the bushes of the border villages of RS Pura were thoroughly searched with the help of metal detectors and sniffer dogs. During this search operation, local villagers were also interviewed and appealed to them to immediately inform the nearest police station or security forces if they see any new or suspicious person around them.
Pakistani infiltrator arrested in Poonch, army foiled nefarious intention
The series of nefarious activities of Pakistan on the border is not showing any signs of stopping. It is noteworthy that on June 26, a Pakistani infiltrator was arrested red-handed by Indian Army soldiers near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector. This arrest has made it clear that efforts to infiltration from across the border to influence the Amarnath Yatra may intensify in the coming days. This is the reason why BSF and Army personnel are keeping a strict vigil on the border even in the dark of night through state-of-the-art drones, thermal imagers and night vision cameras.
Joint deployment of CRPF and police, impenetrable armor ready for passengers
Joint contingents of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian Army and other security forces have been deployed on both the main roads and base camps leading to the holy cave. To ensure the safety of the devotees, 24-hour dominance patrolling, random vehicle checking, highway surveillance and intelligence networks have been kept active. The sole aim of the government and administration is to provide a completely safe, fear-free and spiritual environment to lakhs of devotees coming from all over the country and abroad to have the darshan of Baba Barfani.
