Kushinagar, 6 September (HS). The number of Vietnamese tourists in the Indian Buddhist circuit will increase in the new tourist season. A joint delegation of media and tour travel operators of Vietnam visited the international Buddhist pilgrimage site Kushinagar on Friday to know the status of transportation during the journey, preparation of future plans and the status of tourism based infrastructure. The team will submit its report to the Government of Vietnam. On the basis of the report of the team, the Government of Vietnam will write a letter to the Government of India for the attention of the interests and facilities of its citizens.
The team got to know the condition of Kushinagar's Mahaparinirvana Temple, Mahaparinirvana Stupa, Manthakunwar Temple, hotels, government hotel, parking, cafeteria, toilets etc. The team also visited Buddha Theme Park, Buddhist Vipassana Center, Buddha Park, cafeteria, toilets, interpretation center etc.
Apart from submitting the report to the Vietnam government, the team will also run awareness programmes for the citizens of Vietnam during their visit to the Indian Buddhist Circuit. The team, which stayed at the Government Hotel Pathik Niwas, was welcomed by Tourist Information Officer Dr. Pran Ranjan, Hotel Staff Ritesh Kumar Dubey, Satyendra Singh, Mumtaz Ali, Nathuni on behalf of the District Administration. Kundan Kumar of the Tourism Ministry is guiding the team. The team, which arrived on Thursday, left for Varanasi on Friday. In this regard, Regional Tourism Officer Ravindra Kumar said that the Government of India is running programmes in Buddhist countries to increase the number of foreign tourists during the future tourist season of the Buddhist Circuit. The visit of the joint team has taken place in this sequence. This will significantly increase the number of tourists in the new season.
