But his journey to reach the big stage of Mumbai from the narrow streets of Kanpur was no less than a film story.

This is the story of the boy who had big dreams and made her lived to fulfill them.

When the first earning was received 50 rupees

Born in an ordinary family in Kanpur, Raju Srivastava’s real name was Satya Prakash Srivastava. His father was a poet, perhaps that was the reason why Raju had inherited playing with words and expressions. He was amazing to copy people since childhood. They would copy everyone from their teachers to the people of the neighborhood that people cannot live without laughing.

Raju was a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan. He adopted Big B’s style so much that this became his identity. On the basis of this skill, he got his first earning – full 50 rupees! What was it then, keeping this 50 rupees in his pocket, he came to Mumbai to fulfill his dreams.

Auto also played and did small roles in films

Mumbai is not easy for anyone, and was not for Raju either. It was very difficult to get work here. In the early days, he even run an auto to survive. He used to run auto during the day and make a comedy in small orchestra and birthday parties at night, so that his passion remains alive.

He also tried his luck in films. She got small roles in big films like ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ and ‘Baazigar’, but the identity was still far away in which she was entitled.

Born of ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ and ‘Gajodhar Bhaiya’

The star of Raju’s career shone when in 2005 appeared on TV named ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. This stage was made for artists like Raju. It was here that the country came to know the characters like ‘Gajodhar Bhaiya’, ‘Sankatha’ for the first time. His desi style, village stories and normal life jokes made him famous overnight.

Even though he could not win the show, he won the hearts of crores of Indians. After this, he never looked back.

Raju Srivastava, who started his journey with 50 rupees, erected assets of about 20 crores on the strength of his hard work.
