The Lucknow Meteorological Center has released a ‘yellow alert’ of pre-monsoon activities in 51 districts of the state.

  • Strong thunderstorms and winds: Strong winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

  • Rain with thunderstorm: There is a strong possibility of light to moderate rain with dust storm in many areas.

  • Large drop in temperature: Due to rain and cold winds, day and night temperatures will fall from 4 to 5 degrees Celsius, which will make people feel great relief from the heat.

The alert consists of 51 districts from Eastern to Western UP, including all major cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Agra, Ghaziabad and Mirzapur. That is, this rain of relief will soak the entire state.
