Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya today participated in the grand inauguration program of ‘Somnath Swabhiman Yatra Uttar Pradesh’ under the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ organized at Gomti Nagar Railway Station, Lucknow, in which the train of passengers going to Somnath was flagged off by Honorable Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath. On this occasion, the Chief Minister of the state, Sanjay Nishad, Honorable Cabinet Minister, Smt. Sushma Kharkwal, Mayor of Lucknow, Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal Member, Legislative Council, Pawan Singh Chauhan Honorable Member, Legislative Council, Mukesh Sharma Member, Legislative Council, O.P. Srivastava MLA, Dr. Neeraj Bora MLA were present.

Addressing the program, the Deputy Chief Minister said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi ji, today the entire country is imbibing the basic mantra of ‘heritage also, development also’.

He said that India is not only preserving its glorious cultural heritage, but is also setting new records of progress by combining them with modern development. Somnath Temple is a symbol of our faith and national self-respect and this yatra will ignite the flame of that self-respect among the people.
