Arya Babbar revealed that when Raj Babbar and Smita Patil’s relationship started, his father had left the house and started living with Smita. After the death of Smita Patil, Raj Babbar remained alone for some time and then returned to his first wife Nadira and children.
Arya praised her mother Nadira Babbar, saying:
“It was explained to us not by our father but by our mother Nadira Babbar that Prateek (Smita Patil and Raj Babbar’s son) is just a child and he should get full love and respect in our house. Since Prateek used to call my mother ‘Mother’, I also felt that I should respect Smita Patil ji by calling her ‘Mother’.”

Despite this, Arya showed unwavering love for her younger brother and said, “Even today, if Pratik calls me at 3 o’clock in the night and says, ‘Brother, I am in some trouble and I need you’, then I will go straight to him without thinking anything. Whenever he wants, I will always be there for him.”
