Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has officially given the green signal to the second phase of application process for admission in Government and Special Aided Special Schools of Delhi from Nursery, KG, Class 1 to Class 12. After filling the seats in the first phase, this golden opportunity for admission on the remaining vacant seats is very special for those parents who due to some reason missed applying in the first phase.

Know who can apply and what is the eligibility for it

The Directorate of Education has set some important rules and eligibility conditions for admission in these special schools of Delhi. Strict age limit rules will be applicable for children of nursery, KG and first class, which will be calculated on the basis of fixed standard date. On the other hand, students who want to take admission in class 6th to 12th, it will be mandatory to show their previous class marksheet, School Leaving Certificate (SLC) and valid certificate of residence in Delhi. This process has been kept completely transparent so that needy and deserving children can get admission without any hassle.

Complete application process and list of required documents

To participate in this second phase of admission, parents will have to visit the official website of Delhi Education Directorate and fill the online registration form. While filling the form, you will have to upload a scanned copy of the child’s Aadhar card, birth certificate, passport size photo and residence certificate of the parents (like electricity bill, ration card or voter ID). After submitting the application form, keep a printout of it safe with you. The Directorate has clarified that if any wrong information is given in the form, the application will be immediately canceled, hence parents should fill the form with utmost care.

When will the merit list be released and what is the deadline for admission?

According to the official schedule released by the Directorate of Education, the process of online application for the second phase will continue till the stipulated time limit only. After the completion of the application process, all the forms received will be strictly scrutinized and then computerized lucky draw or merit list will be released based on the vacant seats. Parents of children whose names will appear in this list will have to go to the allotted school within the stipulated dates to get their original documents verified and complete the admission formalities. Considering the limited number of seats, experts advise that parents should complete their applications well in time without waiting for the last date.
