EIL has decided to fill a total of 41 vacancies of Associate Engineer under this recruitment drive. These have been divided into two different categories (Grade-II and Grade-III) for different engineering branches:

Associate Engineer Grade-II (15 Posts): Under this grade, there will be appointments in special departments like Process, Mechanical (Rotating/Package), Mechanical (Static Equipment) and Environment/Water/Safety.

Associate Engineer Grade-III (26 Posts): Under this grade, recruitment will be done for Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping, Materials/Corrosion and Structural/Civil Engineering disciplines.

EIL has set stringent educational and experience standards to be a part of this recruitment process:

Educational qualification: Applicants must have BE, B.Tech or B.Sc engineering degree in related engineering subject from any recognized university or institute. It is necessary to have minimum 60 percent marks or its equivalent CGPA in the degree.

Work Experience: For the posts of Associate Engineer Grade-II, a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field is sought. Whereas, for Grade-III posts, candidates must have minimum 9 years of work experience.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit of the candidates will be calculated considering 31 May 2026 as the basis. The maximum age for Grade-II has been fixed at 37 years and for Grade-III the maximum age has been fixed at 41 years.
Selection through direct walk-in interview without examination, will get bumper salary
Selected candidates will be appointed on fixed term basis. During this period, they will be given a consolidated salary ranging from ₹ 72,000 to ₹ 96,000 per month depending on the post. This salary package will also include components of House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Provident Fund (PF).
The selection process will be entirely through walk-in interview. During the interview, the technical knowledge, past work experience, problem solving ability and professional efficiency of the candidates will be closely evaluated by the selection committee. These interviews will be conducted in various major cities of the country like Gurugram, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Vadodara.
