News India Live, Digital Desk: Bollywood’s well-known filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala’s production company ‘Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’ (NGE) has filed a complaint with Mumbai Police for forcibly recovery and threatening. The company alleges that some people are demanding money and threatening to run an online negative review campaign to tarnish the image of their films, directors and actors for not paying money.

The case is said to be related to the recently released film ‘Baaghi 4’. The production house issued an official statement on Monday, informed about this. It has been said in the call that they have strong evidence of this, including call recording, which proves that some people were trying to collect money.

What is the whole matter?

The production house said in its statement, “Recently there have been some evidence to us – including call recording – showing that some people were demanding money and threatening to tarnish the reputation of our films, directors and lead actors when the demand was not met.”

The company made it clear that the matter is not a fair criticism or review, but it is a well-planned attempt to harm and threaten prestige. NGE’s lawyer, Ravi Suryavanshi said that he has handed over call recording and other documents to the investigating agencies and demanded strict action against such forcibly recovery efforts.

Criticism welcome, not blackmailing

The production house also clarified that they always support freedom of expression and fair criticism of films, but blackmailing and forced recovery will not be tolerated at any cost. The call said, “We believe that such behavior should be examined by proper authorities.

The incident has once again sparked arguments of organized gangs that harm films through negative reviews and online trolling in the film industry. At present, the police have registered a complaint and started investigating the case.
