News India Live, Digital Desk: There is relief news for the people of Uttar Pradesh who have been shivering due to severe cold and cold wave for the last few days. The Meteorological Department has now ended the ongoing cold wave alert in the state. There has been a slight increase in the temperature due to sunshine during the day, due to which people have got some relief from the shivering cold.

However, the nights still remain cold and the feeling of chill in the morning and evening has not diminished. Industrial city Kanpur remained the coldest in the state on Monday night, where the minimum temperature dropped to 9 degrees Celsius. This was the lowest temperature recorded so far this season. Apart from Kanpur, the minimum temperature in Muzaffarnagar was also 9.6 degrees Celsius.

Sunshine during the day, shiver at night

According to meteorologists, the effect of icy winds coming from the mountains is gradually decreasing, due to which the day temperature is increasing. There was good sunshine in most of the cities of the state including Lucknow on Monday, due to which people heaved a sigh of relief. However, as night falls the temperature drops rapidly, causing shivering.

How will the weather be in future?

The weather department estimates that the weather pattern will remain like this for the coming few days. There will be light sunshine during the day, but the effect of cold will persist in the morning and night. At present, there is no possibility of rain in the state. However, light fog may be seen in some plains in the morning.

Doctors have advised people not to be careless about the cold, especially children and the elderly, to take special care of themselves. Due to the huge difference between day and night temperatures, there is a risk of diseases increasing.
