In the ‘Janata Darshan’ program organized at Government House, 7 Kalidas Marg, Keshav Prasad Maurya listened with utmost sensitivity to the problems of hundreds of people from different districts of the state. A large number of women, elderly, youth, farmers and disabled people reached the program with their complaints.
The Deputy Chief Minister met all the complainants one by one and issued directions on the spot to the concerned officials to resolve their problems, which mainly included: –
• Development works: Drains, drains and drinking water supply.
• Administrative matters: Revenue disputes and complaints related to police administration.
• Housing Schemes: Obstacles facing the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Chief Minister Awas Yojana.
• Financial assistance: Financial assistance for treatment of serious illnesses and other personal needs.
Seeing the seriousness of the public problems, the Deputy Chief Minister spoke on telephone to the District Magistrates and Police Captains of various districts on the spot. He made it clear that laxity in public welfare work will not be tolerated.
• District Magistrate: Fatehpur, Sitapur, Lucknow, Barabanki, Muzaffarnagar, Ambedkar Nagar and Lakhimpur Kheri.
• Police Administration: Commissioner of Police (Varanasi), Senior Superintendent of Police (Azamgarh, Unnao, Rampur, Kannauj).
• Municipal bodies and others: Municipal Commissioner (Prayagraj), General Manager (IFFCO), GM (NCR) and Basic Education Officer (Mirzapur).
During the public darshan, disabled Shri Ram Asare Yadav, resident of Kushinagar, put forward the problem of housing before the Deputy Chief Minister. Shri Maurya consoled them and assured them of full help in providing houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He directed the officials to take immediate action in the case of Ram Aasre and benefit them.
