Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a big gift of development projects worth crores of rupees to Hamirpur district, giving a new height to the development of Bundelkhand. During a grand public meeting held in Hamirpur, CM Yogi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated more than 110 development projects worth a total of Rs 636 crore. This historic step is expected to give a new and stronger wing to the infrastructure, connectivity and employment opportunities not only in Hamirpur but in the entire Bundelkhand region.
Connectivity and infrastructure will get a huge boost
These projects launched by the Chief Minister mainly include widening of roads in rural and urban areas, construction of new bridges, expansion of Har Ghar Nal Yojana to deal with drinking water crisis and improving health facilities. Addressing the public meeting, CM Yogi said that Bundelkhand, which was once known for water shortage and backwardness, is today rapidly emerging as the new industrial hub of UP on the basis of expressway, defense corridor and Jal Jeevan Mission.
New avenues of employment for youth and women
In this gift of Rs 636 crore received by Hamirpur, special provisions have also been made to promote self-employment and industries at the local level. CM Yogi also distributed toolkits, loan sanction letters and certificates to the beneficiaries of various government schemes. He said that the aim of the double engine government is to provide work to every hand and pure water to every house, so that the youth do not have to leave their homes and districts for jobs.
Bundelkhand moving from local to global
Keeping in mind the geographical and local optimization, this action is also extremely important for the neighboring districts like Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda and Jalaun. Completion of these projects will directly benefit local agriculture, tourism and small scale industries (ODOP). The Chief Minister has given strict instructions to the officials that all the development works should be completed within the time limit with complete transparency so that the public can get its benefits immediately.
