Auspicious time: Lakshmi Yantra should be installed on the day of Diwali during Pradosh Kaal (evening time) or Mahanishith Kaal (midnight), because this time is considered best for worshiping Goddess Lakshmi. There are many auspicious times on the day of Diwali, hence after taking advice from a knowledgeable Pandit, establish it in the auspicious Choghadiya only.
2. Choosing the right place: The Yantra should always be installed at the worship place of the house, in the Ishaan corner (north-east direction) or at your wealth place (safe, locker). This place should be clean and sacred.
3. Preparation: Before installing the Yantra, purify the place with Ganga water. Spread a red or yellow clean cloth and place the yantra on it. Wash the instrument with raw cow’s milk and Ganga water and wipe it with a clean cloth.
4. Mantras and offerings: After installing the yantra, worship Goddess Lakshmi. Offer roli, kumkum, rice (akshat), flowers and sweets. Light a ghee lamp and put incense sticks. After this, chant the mantra “Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamle Kamlalaye Prasidh Prasidh Shreem Hreem Shreem Om Mahalakshmayai Namah” 108 times. By chanting the mantra the instrument becomes perfect and its power increases.
5. Stability and faith: Once the device is installed, it should not be removed again and again. Let it remain there steadily and with reverence. Every morning after bathing, bow before the Yantra and if possible, chant mantras for some time.
