saif ali khan attack case : A new revelation has come to light in the case of attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. After Mumbai Police arrested Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam Shahzad on assault charges, reports emerged that his fingerprints did not match those found at the crime scene. The state CID has submitted negative report of Shahzad’s fringe print sample. This report is a shock for Mumbai Police and questions are being asked whether the real attacker is Shariful Islam or someone else?
Police arrested the wrong person?
Saif Ali Khan was attacked on January 16, after which 72 hours the police arrested Shariful Islam. Police claim that he entered Saif’s house with the intention of stealing and then attacked the actor with a knife. According to media reports, the fingerprints taken from the crime scene are not matching those of the accused. So now the debate has started whether the police have arrested the wrong man?
None of the 10 fingerprints matched
Quoting sources, the report said that 10 fingerprints of Shariful Islam were sent to the CID office. The CID confirmed from the system generated report that none of the 19 fingerprints taken from the crime scene matched the fingerprints of the accused. It is said that the report was sent to Pune CID Superintendent on Friday. Apart from this, the facial recognition report prepared by Western Railway is under investigation. The CCTV footage of the person leaving Saif’s building also appeared blurry.
Two teams of Mumbai Police reached West Bengal
On the other hand, such reports have also emerged that a two-member team of Mumbai Police has reached West Bengal. Actually, the arrested accused had used the Aadhaar card of a person from West Bengal to buy a SIM card, for which Mumbai Police has reached West Bengal to investigate.
More than one person involved?
Mumbai Police suspects that more than one person is involved in this case. A police officer said that blood samples of all the staff present in the house on the day of the attack on Saif have been taken and they have been sent to the Forensic Science Lab for testing. On January 19, the police arrested Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam Shahzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Faqir from Thane city. On Friday, the court extended his police custody till January 29. The officer said that the accused is not cooperating with the investigation team and has not yet told from where he had purchased the weapon used in the crime.
