News India Live, Digital Desk: Heavy Rainfall: After a few days of relief in many parts of the country, the monsoon is ready to show its effect once again. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in many states of the country between 8 and 11 September. The department says that this change will be seen in the weather due to a low pressure area over northwest Madhya Pradesh.
These states will have the most impact
According to the Meteorological Department, in the coming days, there may be torrential rains with strong winds in some parts of South India including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Odisha.
- Uttar Pradesh and Delhi-NCR: There is a possibility of heavy rains in many districts of UP, such as Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, and Lakhimpur Kheri till 9 September. In Delhi and surrounding areas, heavy rains and winds are expected to run till September 10.
- Rajasthan and Gujarat: Orange alert has been issued for many areas of Rajasthan. There is a possibility of very heavy rains in districts like Sirohi, Barmer, and Jaisalmer. Gujarat is expected to have heavy rain in the next few days
- Eastern and Central India: In Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Eastern Madhya Pradesh, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall between September 10 to 12.
Special warning for fishermen
In view of bad weather, the Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to go to the Andaman Sea, Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea till September 11, during which high waves may arise in the sea and strong winds may blow.
The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to be cautious in the coming days and to keep an eye on the weather updates to avoid any kind of difficulty. Problems like waterlogging and traffic may be faced at lower places.
