Superstar Ranveer Singh, who is called the powerhouse of Bollywood, is currently embroiled in a very serious and big controversy. A shocking news has come out about Ranveer Singh, who has been successful at the box office through films like ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar The Revenge’. Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has taken strict action and banned the actor. Actually, this whole matter is related to famous filmmaker Farhan Akhtar’s most awaited film ‘Don 3’, which Ranveer has suddenly left. After this unexpected decision of Ranveer, Farhan Akhtar directly approached FWICE and lodged a written complaint against the actor.
Makers suffered a huge loss of Rs 45 crore due to Ranveer Singh’s sudden withdrawal.
Farhan Akhtar told in his complaint to the Federation that he started the large-scale pre-production work of ‘Don 3’ only after getting the green signal from Ranveer Singh. Crores of rupees were spent like water on the sets, research and planning of the film. However, at the last moment Ranveer Singh withdrew his hands from this mega project. The filmmakers claim that due to this behavior of the actor, they have suffered a huge financial loss of around Rs 45 crore, due to which the future of the entire film is hanging in the balance.
Federation contacted Ranveer thrice, did not get any response
Talking about this entire controversy, Federation President VN Tiwari said that after receiving Farhan Akhtar’s complaint, he had tried to resolve the matter peacefully. He tried to contact Ranveer Singh thrice, so that his side could also be known. However, no reply or positive response was received from the actor. After this silence of Ranveer, the Federation was forced to take strict action.
Will Ranveer Singh’s career come to a halt now? Understand the ground meaning of this ban
This ban imposed by FWICE means that thousands of technicians, crew members, cameramen, spot boys and other set employees associated with the federation can now flatly refuse to work on any project of Ranveer Singh. Since the production of any Bollywood film completely depends on these grassroots workers, there may be huge difficulties in the shooting, schedules and production of Ranveer’s upcoming films. However, this ban is not legal or government, hence no court can stop Ranveer from signing new films, but practically it will become a big headache for him to complete the shooting of the films.
Ranveer Singh’s PR team broke silence on controversy and ban, gave this official statement
After the action of the Federation, the first official statement has come out from Ranveer Singh’s team amid the uproar everywhere. His team said, “Ranveer Singh deeply respects the film industry and every person associated with the ‘Don’ franchise. Whatever developments have taken place in recent times regarding ‘Don 3’, he has considered it right to maintain a dignified silence on it. Ranveer believes that professional matters and personal relationships should always be resolved with maturity, understanding and mutual respect.
Amidst difficulties, these 2 big projects of Ranveer Singh are at stake
Amidst this big controversy and the shadow of the ban, all eyes are on Ranveer Singh’s two upcoming mega projects:
1. Doomsday: It is a high-concept zombie thriller film being made on a huge budget of around Rs 300 crore, which is being directed by Jai Mehta. Although, recently there were reports of ‘creative differences’ regarding the film, but the makers have clarified that the script has been finalised. The shooting of the film is expected to start as per schedule by August 2026, in which South actress Kalyani Priyadarshan can be seen in the lead role along with Ranveer.
2. Next action blast with Aditya Dhar: The pair of directors Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh had recently created a stir at the box office by giving blockbuster films like ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. Now the successful duo is all set to come together once again for a big budget pan-India action entertainer. Now it remains to be seen how much this FWICE ban affects the shooting of these films.
