Karisma Kapoor’s Big Revelation: She Was Extremely Nervous During the Filming of the Song ‘Husn Hai Suhana’ Recalls an Old Anecdote

There are some songs and dance numbers in the history of Bollywood, whose magic does not fade even after decades. The blockbuster song ‘Husn Hai Suhana’ from the 1995 superhit film ‘Coolie No. 1’ is also one such chartbuster track, on which even today’s generation is forced to dance. Recently, Bollywood’s evergreen actress Karisma Kapoor reached a famous dance reality show, where she got emotional after watching the performance of the contestants and shared a very interesting and unheard anecdote related to this song.

Karishma was sweating while dancing with Govinda, she was only 16-17 years old.

Karisma Kapoor, who participated as the chief guest in the premiere episode of the dance reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer’, recalled her past days and said that when this song was being shot, she was just a teenager. He said,

“At that time, I must have been around 16 or 17 years old when I had to share the screen with Govinda ji. Govinda ji was such a great and amazing performer of his time that I was very nervous and scared from within to dance with him.”

Karishma further told that this was her first or second dance number with Govinda (Chichi), due to which there was hesitation and nervousness in her mind.

Choreographer Ganesh Acharya was also new and shy

The brain and hard work of famous choreographer Ganesh Acharya was behind this iconic song. Referring to that new combination, Karisma Kapoor said that this was also her first song with Master Ganesh Acharya. Karishma laughingly recalled, “Ganesh Master was also very new at that time and was very shy on the set. On one hand he was hesitant and on the other I was also nervous, which created a very interesting atmosphere on the set.”

When director David Dhawan encouraged

This nervousness of Karisma Kapoor was sensed by the film’s director David Dhawan. Karisma told that David Dhawan came to her and supported her and explained, “You know, he is a very good choreographer. He is our new Ganesh master, you just dance without any worries.” After this trust and motivation of David Dhawan, Karisma broke her hesitation in front of the camera and what happened today is history.
