News India Live, Digital Desk: Lyricist Javed Akhtar On Friday, he was awarded the prestigious Dostalsovsi Star Award for his remarkable impact on cultural heritage and literary dialogue.
Javed Akhtar’s wife Shabana Azmi shared pictures of the award ceremony on her Instagram handle, accepting the award from the dignitaries of the famous lyricist Russian Sadan.
While sharing the pictures, the actress wrote, “Another great honor for Javed Akhtar, because she has received the Dostalsvsi Star Award! This year, the Russian House has a deep honor for giving the Russian House to recognize her notable impact on cultural dialogue and literary heritage.
Javed Akhtar, who is considered a script writer of Indian cinema, has won several awards in his decades long career. These include the National Award for Best Song, Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1999 and Padma Bhushan in 2007.
Earlier this year, Javed Akhtar was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the convocation of the famous Film Institute Whisling Woods International.
Whistling Woods International was founded in 2006 by director Subhash Ghai. After receiving the award, Javed Akhtar and Pankaj Kapoor told the students present at the ceremony some informative things.
Akhtar, known for writing the script of blockbuster films like Zanjeer and Sholay, talked about the importance of self -esteem in gaining excellence in life in his gratitude speech.
He said, “The only reason that can make you excellent is your self-esteem. Maybe the world may not have to do so, and maybe your friends are saying that you are very rude, but I know that I can be better, and it should be better because I am doing it. If your self-esteem is high, you can get excellent. Javed Akhtar has written the script of superhit films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Wall’, ‘Zanjeer’.
