The accident occurred when a high-speed double-decker private bus going from Delhi to Madhubani in Bihar lost control and overturned. The incident took place near Thathiya police station area of ​​Kannauj.

Nap of sleep became the cause of the accident

According to preliminary information, the bus had left from Delhi for Bihar and there were about 60 passengers on board. It is being told that when the bus reached near Piprauli village on Agra-Lucknow Expressway in the morning, the driver fell asleep. Due to this, he lost control of the bus and it collided with the divider and overturned.

The area was shaken by screams

After the accident, there was screams among the passengers traveling in the bus. People nearby immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations and informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the local police and rescue team of UPEDA (Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority) reached the spot.

The injured were admitted to the hospital

Police and rescue teams rescued the passengers trapped in the bus. In this accident, three people died on the spot, who are being identified. At the same time, more than 18 injured passengers were immediately admitted to the Medical College of Tirwa with the help of ambulance, where the condition of some of them remains critical. The remaining passengers have suffered minor injuries, and after first aid, arrangements are being made to send them to their destination in other vehicles.

Due to this incident, traffic on the expressway was also affected for some time, which was smoothened by the police by removing the bus with the help of a crane. Police officials say that the matter is being investigated and efforts are being made to inform the families of the deceased.
