In fact, in a special celebration event organized on 23 May 2026, David Dhawan talked about saying goodbye to direction. Many big Bollywood stars like superstar Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Pooja Hegde, Varun Dhawan and Chunky Pandey attended this party. While sharing a story on Instagram, Karan Johar wrote that when he reached David ji’s celebration, David Dhawan himself told him that ‘Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai’ is going to be his last film as a director.
