“Not every wound is on the body…” Celina Jaitley
Referring to the Twisha Sharma case, Celina has exposed the bitter truth of the society. they wrote:
“Marriage doesn’t always have to be happy. Sometimes the worst violence is the one that no one can see. The heart breaking case of Twisha Sharma has shocked everyone. An educated, beautiful and capable girl, whose life gradually got engulfed in mental torture, loneliness, pain and violence happening behind closed doors. The saddest thing is that while her family was demanding justice for their daughter, some people were not able to water the plants. Small things like being inserted were more troubling.”
Celina further writes that sometimes women’s pain is considered so normal that gradually people stop noticing their pain. It is not necessary that every wound be visible on the body; Mental torture makes a person hollow from within.
Loneliness in a foreign country and the illusion of ‘happily ever after’
Celina told that often the world thinks how beautiful the lives of celebrities or women are, but the reality behind closed doors is completely different.
-
Lack of support system: Many times women are in a foreign country, where they neither have family nor any support system. In such a situation, they have no way to go anywhere.

To make one feel guilty: Another method of harassment is that the victim is made to feel that it is her fault and her pain is just a nuisance for others.

Doubt about one’s own existence: When loneliness goes deep, the walls of the house begin to seem heavy and silent. A person begins to convince himself that somehow just keeping breathing is life and gradually he starts doubting his own existence.
She continued to endure the torture for the sake of her children and out of fear of society.
Talking about her personal life and her ongoing controversy with husband Peter Hogg, Celina revealed the reasons why she remained silent for a long time:
