Army fighter plane crashes in a field, hits a farmer, the damage figure is really shocking

An Air Force Sukhoi-30 fighter jet crashed into a field in Shirasgaon, Nashik on Tuesday, causing a loss of about Rs 61 lakh to three farmers. Bhaskar Bhagare, who was elected MP on Tuesday, visited the spot and asked the district administration to immediately compensate the farmers.

An Air Force fighter plane caught fire after crashing. The debris and spare parts of the plane were scattered up to 500 meters. This caused heavy damage to crops standing in three fields. The pilot and co-pilot Hemkhem survived the accident.

The panchnama done by the village talati mentions damage to vines worth Rs 1 lakh, cabbage crop, wire fencing worth Rs 2.5 lakh and a well. According to the notes made in the panchnama, the grape orchard spread over 0.85 hectares has suffered heavy damage. It is estimated that grapes will not be harvested for the next six years and the loss has been estimated to be Rs 50 lakh. Earlier, district collector Jalaj Sharma had ordered an inquiry and panchnama of the accident.
