The 90s… when Ram Gopal Varma had spread the magic of colors on the cinema screen, which was named ‘Rangeela’. Aamir Khan’s tapori ‘Munna’, Urmila Matondkar’s dream-flying ‘Milli’ and Jackie Shroff’s handsome ‘Raj Kamal’. Now, a full 30 years later, this magical film is all set to return to the big screen once again! Ahead of its release on November 28, 2025, a new, spectacular trailer for the film has been released, which will take you straight to the memories of that colorful world.

What is special in the trailer?

This 2 minute 33 second trailer is a beautiful box of memories of the 90s. The trailer begins with Urmila Matondkar’s passionate dialogue, which many people still remember – “I don’t want to become a clerk after studying, I want to become an actress.” Immediately after this, Aamir Khan’s Tapori ‘Munna’ enters, who says in his same bold style, “It is better to eat biscuits as a dog in a Seth’s car, I will have fun on the road.”

Jackie Shroff’s gentle film hero style in the trailer, A.R. Rahman’s magical music and glimpses of superhit songs like “Yaaro Sun Lo Zara,” “Tanha Tanha” give goosebumps. The trailer also includes those bold scenes of Urmila, which created a stir 30 years ago, like running on the beach in just a T-shirt and her bikini look.

‘Rangeela’ is as fresh even after 30 years

On this occasion, director Ram Gopal Varma said, “Even after 30 years, ‘Rangeela’ seems as fresh and revolutionary as it was that day. This film has captured the soul and heartbeat of the city of dreams, Mumbai, which is equally relevant even today.”

This film is being released under a special initiative named ‘Ultra Rewind’, the aim of which is to bring old classic films in front of the audience in a new and better style. Sushil Kumar Aggarwal, CEO, Ultra Media, said, “‘Rangeela’ is not just a film, it is a feeling. Our aim is to give both the old and new generations an opportunity to see its magic again on the big screen. This film will not only be loved by the people of the 90s but will also be loved by today’s GenZ.”
