Lucknow, July 11 (HS). A zonal conference was organized on the performance of Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) at Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut on Thursday. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary was present as the chief guest in this program. On this occasion, the Union Minister said that youth between the ages of 15-45 are associated with the JSS institution. Today it is very important to provide skill training to the youth at the Panchayat level. It is not only necessary to get a degree but lifelong learning is also very important. Today, rural youth have to recognize their capabilities, only then they can move forward and become successful leaders. Today new technology has come in the agriculture sector, youth should be prepared for this.
He said that today's youth should be ready for skilling, reskilling and upskilling with a new thinking. Youth should take advantage of #PMKVY at the local level. Our effort is to expand the Jan Shikshan Sansthan rapidly so that more and more people can be connected with #JSS. The Union Minister further said that today 1.40 crore youth across the country have benefited from skill training through the #PMKVY scheme. Not only this, through apprenticeship, today's youth are moving towards a bright future by doing on-the-job training.
Giving the above information, National Secretary of Rashtriya Lok Dal Anupam Mishra said that Chaudhary Jayant Singh, while addressing the gathering, said that Meerut is emerging as an education hub and has the potential to leverage some of its MSME industries to increase employment generation. We will build the coverage of existing schemes in the region and work with reputed skill and educational institutions as per best practices.
