There was a panic due to pressure leakage from the gas tanker, the fire and safety team handled the situation


Auraiya, May 31 (HS). On Friday, the pressure of an LPG gas tanker parked at Gail parking in Khanpur of the district increased due to strong sunlight and its valve started releasing pressure with a loud noise. Gas pressure leakage caused chaos there. On receiving the information, Gail's operation and fire and safety team reached there and normalized the pressure of the tanker and sent it to its destination.

Tanker driver Govind, a resident of Rasulabad, loaded LPG gas in the tanker from the GAIL plant to take it to Lucknow and after parking the vehicle in the GAIL tanker parking in Khanpur, he went away somewhere. Meanwhile, in the afternoon, the parked tanker started leaking with a loud noise. Hearing the sound of leakage, there was chaos in the parking lot. People thought that gas has started leaking. The GAIL administration was informed immediately. As soon as the information was received, the GAIL operation and fire and safety team reached the tanker parking. Fire vehicle and ambulance were also called at the spot. Dharamveer, M. Hussain of the operation department said that due to strong sunlight and heat, the pressure of the tanker had increased, which started coming out from the safety valve installed on the tanker. The normal pressure should have been 160, which increased to 200.

The security personnel sprayed water and wearing safety kits climbed on the gas tanker to repair the valve and normalized the increased pressure in the tanker. When the pressure became normal, the officials instructed the driver to take the tanker to Lucknow.
