The Hiva stolen from Torpa one and a half years ago was recovered from Barkagaon

Khunti, May 25 (HS). The police on Friday recovered a Hiva truck which was stolen from Khasua Toli of Torpa police station area one and a half years ago from the Barkagaon police station area of ​​Hazaribagh district.

In this regard, Torpa SDPO Christopher Kerketta said that on the day of Saraswati Puja on January 28, 2023, Torpa's Shravan Kumar Sahu's Hiva truck (JH 01 DL 9829) was stolen. He said that the stolen Hiva was registered from Nagaland after changing its number. After getting NOC from there, the Hiva was fake registered in Hazaribagh (JH 02 4523) and sold to a person there.

According to the owner of the stolen Hiva, Shravan Sahu, two days ago, Torpa driver Raju Sahu had gone to Koderma with a vehicle loaded with eggs. While returning from there, he saw a stolen Hiva but its registration number was different while no other changes were made to the vehicle. Raju informed Shravan about this on his mobile.

Shravan immediately reached Hazaribagh but could not find the Hiva. He got information from some drivers that the Hiva had gone towards Barkagaon carrying ballast some time ago. Shravan Kumar followed it from there and caught it and handed it over to the Barkagaon police station and informed the Torpa police station about it. The police brought the Hiva from there. The police is investigating the matter.
