According to experts, there is a possibility of a significant increase in tariff by 25 percent by telecom companies. So that a proper environment of competition can be maintained. Also, after huge investment in 5G and continuous support from the government, now telecom companies need to improve profits. This connection rate may be high, but it should be affordable for both rural and urban users, especially when data usage is high. With an increase of 25 per cent, total telecom expenditure of urban user households will increase from 3.2 per cent to 3.6 per cent, while expenditure for rural users will increase from 5.2 per cent to 5.9 per cent.
The 25 per cent increase in key rates will increase the average revenue per user (ARPU) for telecom operators by 16 per cent. With this increase, Bharti Airtel's ARPU is expected to increase by Rs 29 and Jio's ARPU by Rs 26.
