A very sad and shocking incident has come to light from Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. Here in Chauli village of Baldev police station area, the family members were initially considering the death of three-year old innocent child ‘Madhav’ as a normal health problem. However, about a month after the incident, there was a twist in the matter which shocked the entire family. The police have registered a case against the child’s mother for murdering her by strangulating a piece of her liver.
There was a disturbance in the conversation on the phone, then it wreaked havoc on an innocent child.
According to the information revealed in the police investigation, this incident took place on June 28. That day, a three year old child suddenly started crying while playing. At that time his mother Ruchi Gupta was talking to someone on the phone. The phone conversation was being interrupted due to the child’s continuous crying, due to which the woman, enraged, first scolded and beat the child and then allegedly strangulated him. The innocent child died on the spot due to suffocation.
Polio drops were considered the cause of death, the last rites were performed.
After the incident, the woman called her husband Krishna Murari Gupta, who runs a medical store, and told him that the child had calmed down after crying for a long time and was not responding. The family immediately took him to private hospitals in Mathura, where doctors declared him dead.
Since the child was also given polio medicine on the same day, the family members thought that perhaps the child lost his life due to side effects of the medicine or some other physical problem. No one suspected the mother and the family cremated the child without any police complaint.
Confessed to the crime in front of her husband, lover’s angle revealed from call records
The case came to light on July 27, almost a month after the incident. Ruchi Gupta confessed to her husband that the child had died due to strangulation. After this, the husband also heard her talking about this incident to her alleged lover on the phone.
When the family members strictly interrogated the woman, she confessed to her crime. After this, the child’s uncle Govind Gupta examined the call records of the woman, which revealed that she was continuously talking to an unknown person for a long time.
Police registered a case, investigation started
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, brother-in-law Govind Gupta informed on police helpline 112 and lodged a written complaint at Baldev police station. According to Baldev police station in-charge Ajay Sharma, based on the complaint of the family members, a case has been registered against the accused woman under sections of culpable homicide and legal action has been initiated.
