HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel won: huge profits in the hands of investors
HDFC Bank continued to dominate the list of most valuable companies during the last week under review. The market valuation of the bank increased by a maximum of Rs 35,808.09 crore to reach Rs 12,69,454.42 crore. Immediately after this, Bharti Airtel also performed brilliantly and increased its market value by Rs 34,896.92 crore, taking the total valuation of the company to Rs 11,98,774.22 crore. The leadership of these two giants has given a strong positive message amid the sluggish market environment.
Reliance Industries and LIC also got strong benefits
Not only banking and telecom, but also the faces of investors of the country’s largest company Reliance Industries and insurance giant LIC were seen smiling. The market valuation of Reliance increased by ₹6,224.97 crore to ₹17,71,206.33 crore, making it the most valuable company in the country even today. Along with this, a solid increase of Rs 16,065.50 crore was recorded in the market value of LIC and it reached Rs 5,60,205.05 crore. Thanks to these four shining companies, the total profit figure reached Rs 92,995.48 crore.
These 6 big companies suffered losses: Value of Hindustan Unilever to SBI decreased
While on one hand some companies made profits, on the other hand the combined valuation of 6 other major companies included in the top-10 declined by a total of ₹49,294.13 crore. Among these, Hindustan Unilever’s valuation declined by ₹12,088.65 crore to ₹5,04,997.65 crore, while Larsen & Toubro’s valuation fell by ₹11,040.23 crore to ₹5,42,938.40 crore. Apart from this, the value of IT sector giant TCS closed with a decline of Rs 8,574.87 crore, Bajaj Finance’s value Rs 7,813.58 crore, ICICI Bank’s value Rs 6,315.32 crore and State Bank of India’s market value closed with a decline of Rs 3,461.48 crore.
Weekly market condition and latest ranking of companies
If we look at the performance of the overall stock market last week, amidst the ups and downs, BSE Sensex closed with a slight fall of 194.52 points or 0.25%, while NSE Nifty also recorded a weakness of 63.95 points or 0.26%. Despite this, Reliance Industries remained at the first position in the list of most valuable companies of the country, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, TCS, Bajaj Finance, LIC, Larsen & Toubro and Hindustan Unilever respectively.
