Will provide permanent relief from the problem of traffic jam
NHAI Project Director Abhishek said that this corridor is being prepared with the aim of eliminating the problem of traffic jam that has been persisting for years in Begusarai city. Begusarai is a very important district of Bihar from industrial point of view, where hundreds of micro, small and medium industries including Barauni Refinery, fertilizer plant and power station are operating. Because of this, there is tremendous pressure of heavy vehicles every day.
Travel will become easier, goods transportation will become faster
The project director said that after the opening of the corridor, traffic in the city will become completely easy. There will be a significant reduction in people’s travel time and goods transportation will also become faster and more organized than before. Local traders and industries are also expected to get direct benefits from this.
There will be direct connection with Ganga bridge, regional connectivity will be strengthened.
Another special feature of this elevated corridor is that it will establish direct and uninterrupted connectivity with the Ganga River Bridge built under the Onta-Simaria project. This will strengthen the connectivity of not only Begusarai but also the surrounding districts.
Economic development will get new momentum
Project Director Abhishek expressed confidence that the commencement of this corridor will give a new impetus to the economic development of Begusarai and its surrounding areas. Better road connectivity will attract investment, create new employment opportunities and also increase the production capacity of this industrial area. At present, the finishing work at the site is going on war footing and officials say that the project will be completed within the stipulated time.
