Prayagraj and Varanasi burn like a ‘furnace’, nights also become hot

Cities like Prayagraj, Varanasi and Agra of Uttar Pradesh are currently among the hottest areas. The mercury has reached 44.4 degrees Celsius in Prayagraj, while in Varanasi also the temperature was recorded at 43.4 degrees. The shocking thing is that now not only the days but also the nights have started scorching. ‘Torture’ continues till 26th April, then the weather will change

According to meteorologists, at present there is no hope of getting relief from the heat for the next two to three days. Due to dry winds and strong sunlight, heat waves are ready to scorch the body. However, one news of relief is that a new ‘Western Disturbance’ may become active from the evening of 26th April. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of cloud cover and light rain in some parts of Uttar Pradesh on April 27 and 28, due to which the temperature may drop by 3 to 4 degrees.

Caution is the only protection: Doctors warned

In view of the extreme heat, the Health Department has also issued an advisory. Doctors say that due to heat wave, the risk of dehydration and heat stroke has increased. Keep your head covered when going out in the sun and drink as much fluids as possible. The administration has instructed hospitals in all the districts to remain on alert mode and create separate wards for heat stroke patients. The coming few days are going to be very challenging for Uttar Pradesh.
