After this incident came to light, the police have registered a case under serious sections against the young man claiming to be the father of the newborn. The administration has taken strict steps for the safety of the minor and her child.
Hospitalization after labor pain, committee gave consent
Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Chairman L.S. Khati confirmed the matter on Tuesday. He told that the pregnant minor was suffering from severe labor pain. Since the girl was a minor, the hospital required parental consent for the operation as part of the legal process. In such a situation, the Child Welfare Committee, being the responsible organization, signed the necessary documents, after which the doctors conducted the delivery through cesarean operation.
Minor was in live-in relationship with young man in Pune
Narrating her story, the minor girl said that her parents had separated when she was very young. She was left alone after the breakup of her family. Last year she came in contact with a young man and went to Pune with him. Both of them started living together and during this time she became pregnant. The young man who claims to be the father of the child currently works in Pune.
FIR registered in Munsiyari police station, many sections including POCSO imposed
The police have taken strict action against the accused youth at Munsiyari police station for sexually exploiting a minor and impregnating her. the police Indian Judicial Code (BNS) Section 64(1), 87 and POCSO Act A case has been registered under section 5/6 of IPC. The police have started searching for the accused and conducting a detailed investigation into the case.
Mother and child will remain under government protection till the age of 18 years
The Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee said that after being discharged from the hospital, the minor girl and her newborn baby will not be left unsafe. They will be placed in a ‘Specialized Adoption Agency’. Here, the government will take full responsibility for the upbringing, health and safety of the girl till she turns 18 years old.
