Hamirpur, March 27 (HS). On Wednesday, the police arrested the third main accused in an encounter in the case of murder of a brother and sister by entering their house with the intention of robbery in the district last February. A pistol has been recovered from the accused, while two accused in the murder case have already been arrested along with the looted goods.
On Wednesday, Biwanar police station had an encounter with a criminal carrying a bounty of Rs 25,000. The criminal was shot in the leg, after which he was arrested. He was admitted to the district hospital for treatment under police custody. The murderer arrested by the Biwanar police in the encounter, along with his two associates, had killed a brother and sister during a robbery in Para Ladar village on February 7. However, on February 14, the police, while uncovering the murder case, arrested two accused Puran and Hariya in an encounter. Looted goods were also recovered. The accused Rajendra Kuril, a resident of Bakewar police station area in Fatehpur, was absconding, since then the police was searching for him. The police had placed a reward of Rs 25 thousand on him.
SP Deeksha Sharma said on Wednesday that when the SOG team and Biwar police station, on information, tried to catch it near Chanikhurd village, it opened fire on the police. When the police retaliated by firing, accused Rajendra Kuril was shot in his right leg and he was arrested. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital.
