Major accident in Madhya Pradesh, 50 burnt to death due to burning of torch in anti-terrorism rally

Fire incident in Madhya Pradesh: An accident took place during the closing ceremony of the torch procession in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. While placing the torch, something overturned and caught fire. More than 50 people got burnt in the accident. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. There were more than a thousand torches in the procession. 200 of those torches were lit. The torch contained wood sawdust and camphor powder, due to which the fire broke out. The torch procession was organized by Rashtra Bhakta Veer Yuva Manch.
Telangana BJP leader T Raja and West Bengal BJP spokesperson Nazia Khan participated in the program organized against terrorism. He addressed the program. The program was presided over by Hindu leader Ashok Paliwal. Tragedy struck during the closing ceremony. After the accident the people present there ran away. In which many people got injured while running away.

torch caught fire when turned upside down

The program was organized on Thursday evening at Badabam Chowk in Khandwa. Before the closing ceremony, a torch procession was taken out at around 11 pm. There were plans to light around 1000 torches but only 200 torches were lit. A torch procession was taken out for half an hour. People started placing torches during the closing ceremony at Ghantaghar Chowk. Suddenly a torch was thrown and a fire broke out within no time. As the fire spread, people got trapped in it. After the incident, there was chaos and running around.

30 injured reached district hospital

As soon as the information was received, a large number of police forces reached the spot. Somehow the fire was extinguished. 50 people were injured in the accident. Some people got burnt in the fire and some got injured while running away. The police admitted everyone to the district hospital for treatment. According to the police, 30 people were brought to the district hospital. In which 12 people were admitted. Others were discharged after first aid. Women and children are also included among the injured.
