UP received a gift of more than Rs 4850 crore, Keshav Maurya along with Gadkari and Rajnath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of National Highway projects.


Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari have inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of major projects of 63 km long Kanpur-Lucknow six-lane expressway, to be built at a cost of about ₹ 4,200 crore at Sainik School in Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow, which will become the new development corridor of the state. Apart from this, the construction work of 32 km long four lane Hardoi-Lucknow National Highway at a cost of about ₹ 541 crore will ensure safe and fast traffic. The Engineering College Crossroads flyover, built at a cost of approximately ₹ 109 crore, will make the traffic system of the capital Lucknow more convenient and organized.

He said that modern infrastructure is the strong foundation of developed India. Uttar Pradesh has now come out of the identity of backwardness and has established its new identity as a state with expressways, modern highways and fast development. The dream of developed India will be realized only through developed Uttar Pradesh, the new identity of Uttar Pradesh has become “Express-Way to Express Growth”. Every new road opens the door to countless new opportunities. Better roads provide new momentum to industry, investment, tourism and employment and become a powerful medium to connect farmers to the market, youth to employment and the state to investment.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya said that earlier only projects were announced, but today the double engine government is constructing projects in a time bound manner and ensuring their inauguration and operation. This is the identity of good governance, Uttar Pradesh has now become a state not of possibilities but of achievements and in the coming times, it will play a leading role among the most developed states of the country. These projects will strengthen connectivity in the state, attract investment and create vast employment opportunities. Especially a new pace of development will be established between the city of Nawabs, Lucknow and the industrial city of Kanpur, which will give unprecedented pace to industry, trade and economic activities.
