Railway Protection Force is improving surveillance capabilities with technology

Prayagraj, 04 November (HS). In a significant advancement in aerial surveillance capabilities, Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway has received three Indo Wings Cyberon Pro quadcopter drones. This micro UAV is priced at Rs 34,35,075. These are part of a larger investment and come with a comprehensive warranty of up to 30 months.

This information was given by senior public relations officer Amit Malviya on Monday. He informed that to optimize the use of these state-of-the-art drones, a special training session was organized by RPF Zonal Training Centre, Subedarganj from 28 to 30 October. In this session, 28 personnel including 19 RPF personnel, officers from Prayagraj Division, 5 RPF personnel, officers from Lucknow Division and 4 personnel from GRP were successfully trained. The training focused on maximizing the operational efficiency of the Cybertron Pro drone for tasks such as surveillance, crowd management and live surveillance during the Maha Kumbh Mela.

Cybertron Pro drones are equipped to handle many of the tasks required to maintain security. That includes capturing high-resolution photos, recording video, live video streaming, taking screenshots, and thermal videography. Each drone has a flight time of 45 minutes, a generous 128GB storage capacity and operates at speeds of up to 12 m/s.

With this, the Railway Protection Force is set to provide better surveillance and crowd management capabilities while ensuring the safety of the people and participants of the Maha Kumbh Mela. These drones represent North Central Railway's commitment to leverage modern technology during large-scale events, marking a milestone in public safety preparedness.
