A major accident was averted with Bareilly-Varanasi Express near Malihabad railway station near Lucknow. According to the information, a conspiracy was hatched to derail the train by placing a wooden block weighing about 6 kg and 2 feet long on the track. As soon as the train reached there, a wooden block got stuck under the train. The pilot of the train showed caution and immediately applied the emergency brake, thereby averting a possible accident.
