Chatra, 7 September (HS). The foundation stone of the bridge on Bhurahi river, a long awaited demand of many insurgency affected villages of Pathalgada and Simaria blocks of the district, was laid today. Chatra MP Kalicharan Singh and Simaria MLA Kishun Kumar Das laid the foundation stone by cutting the ribbon.
Under the Mukhyamantri Gram Setu Yojana, bridge construction work will be done on Bhurahi river in Barwadih on the recommendation of MLA Kishun Kumar Das. On the occasion, many dignitaries, panchayat representatives and villagers of Pathalgarh and Simaria blocks welcomed the MP and MLA in a traditional manner on their arrival here. The MP said that the long-awaited demand of the villagers is being fulfilled.
MLA Das said that during his tenure, not only Pathalgarh but dozens of bridges and culverts have been recommended in the entire assembly. Many bridges have been completed. He is giving 100% contribution in fulfilling the hopes and expectations of the villagers. He is fulfilling the promise made to the villagers here. The villagers were agitating for years to build a bridge over the Bhurahi river. A high-level bridge is to be constructed here by the Rural Development Special Division Chatra.
