The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big step towards equipping the Yamuna Expressway with world -class residential and non -residential facilities. Under the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) has introduced a new scheme of 276 residential plots of 200 square meters in Sector-18 (Pocket 9B).

In this scheme, special priority will be given to those farmers whose land has been acquired for Jewar Airport and Yida projects. Of the total plots, 17.5 percent i.e. 48 plots are reserved for farmers, while 5 percent i.e. 14 plots will be available under functional industrial unit category. 77.5 percent i.e. 214 plots are available for general category.

The prescribed rate of plot under this scheme is Rs 35,000 per square meter. The registration fee for SC-ST applicants has been kept at Rs 3.50 lakh and Rs 7 lakh for general applicants. The application process in this scheme has started from Monday and applicants can apply through the official website of Yida by 21 May.

The plots will be allotted through a draw to be taken out on September 11. After the plot is allotted, plots will be available to the beneficiaries on a lease of 90 years. In this process, ICICI and State Bank of India (SBI) are collaborating as banking partners.

Demand for land in Yamuna Expressway area is increasing rapidly due to Jewar Airport Project. In this way, the government is trying to make the region a global investment center. This residential plot scheme will greatly benefit those people who want to build residential houses here in future.
