News India Live, Digital Desk: The weather has once again taken a turn amid the onset of summer in Jharkhand. Heavy rain, thunderstorm and hailstorm have affected life in most parts of the state. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning that similar mood will persist across the state for the next 3-4 days. Rain coupled with strong thunderstorm has brought down the temperature drastically in districts like Ranchi, Gumla and East Singhbhum.

Yellow alert in 20 districts: storm wreaks havoc

According to Meteorological Centre, Ranchi, severe weather conditions will be seen in 20 districts of the state during the next 24 to 48 hours. the department has yellow alert Issuing this, it has been said that during this period, stormy winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour.

Affected districts: Special impact will be seen in the central and southern parts of the state including Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, East and West Singhbhum.

Heavy damage to crops due to hailstorm

On Tuesday and Wednesday, many areas including Bharno and Lohardaga of Gumla received heavy hailstorm for about 45 minutes. Due to this, wheat, tomato and other vegetable crops grown in the fields have been heavily damaged. Traffic was also disrupted due to huge trees falling on the Lohardaga-Kisco main road due to the storm.

Drop in temperature up to 5 degrees

Due to continuous rains and cloud cover, the maximum temperature of Jharkhand has dropped by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. This has provided relief to people from the scorching heat, but the risk of lightning has increased.

Avoid lightning: Do not take shelter under tall trees or electric poles during thunderstorms.

Farmer: Be careful while harvesting and storing crops.

Strong winds: Stay away from raw walls and temporary sheds.

18-19 March: Light to moderate rain and thunderstorm over most parts of the state.

20 March: Possibility of isolated heavy rain in north-eastern and central districts.

March 21: Gradually the weather will start clearing, but it will remain partly cloudy.
