Woman dies due to fire in Andheri building, 6 injured including newborn

Mumbai – A 34 -year -old woman died after a fire in a building in Lokhandwala, Andheri. Whereas 10 days later, six people, including a three -year -old child, were taken to the hospital due to suffocation. Firemen faced difficulty in rescue operations due to smoke. Firefighting personnel overcame the fire in about three hours. There is an investigation into how the fire broke out.

A sudden fire broke out at 2.39 am in flat number 104 on the first floor of the eight -storey Brookland building in Lokhandwala Complex area of ​​Andheri (West). The residents were sleeping at that time. That is why no one came to know about the fire. Shortly after, the fire took a terrible form and the smoke’s bubble spread throughout the house. Family members woke up. On receiving information about the fire, the residents of the building started screaming and tried to get out of their homes.

Many people came out safely. While some residents could not get out due to fire and smoke.

Aparna Gupta (age 41), Daya Gupta (age 21), three -year -old Rihan Gupta, 10 -day -old baby Pradyuman, 34 -year -old actors Karthik Sanjanwalia, Karthik Sanjaywalia (age 40) and Polam Gupta (age 40) got caught in the building. On receiving information about the fire, firefighters immediately reached the spot. And relief work started.

Fire personnel faced a lot of difficulty in rescue work due to smoke. After a lot of effort, he took out the people trapped in the building. He was having difficulty breathing due to smoke. The injured were rushed to the hospital.

The injured were taken to Kokilaben, Cooper and Troy Hospitals. But Abhinav Sanjay Walia died. The injured Polam Gupta was discharged after treatment.

Electrical system, electric wires, AC, furniture, clothes and household items were destroyed by the fire. The fire department captured the fire at around 5.30 am this morning. The cause of the fire is not yet clear.
