News India Live, Digital Desk: Now the police has increased the pace of its investigation in the much talked about POCSO Act case related to Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotisha Peeth. The police is in full action mode to collect evidence in this high-profile case registered in Jhunsi police station of Prayagraj. Police have completed the medical examination of one minor victim, while the statements and evidence of the other victim are being closely matched.

Crime scene re-inspected, CCTV footage being scrutinized

The investigation team has re-inspected the alleged incident site (camp) located in the Magh Mela area, where the incident was claimed to have taken place during the ritual.

Map prepared: The police team has prepared a complete geographical map of that part of the camp, so that the links of the incident can be connected.

CCTV and traffic checks: The entry and exit of people in the camp and the CCTV footage available there are being thoroughly investigated.

Sages, saints and eyewitnesses will also be interrogated

According to police sources, the investigation of this case is no longer limited to technical evidence only. Eyewitnesses and social evidence are also being collected. Soon the saints and other eyewitnesses present in the camp at that time can be interrogated. Apart from this, a special team of police had also recently gone to Hardoi to record the statements of the victims. The old testimony and the new medical report are being closely compared with each other.

What is the whole truth of FIR?

The case was registered when complainant Ashutosh Brahmachari produced two minors before the special POCSO court and recorded their statements. On this basis, the court had ordered to register a case in Jhunsi police station. This FIR has been registered under serious sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and POCSO Act. It mainly consists of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda, his disciple Mukundananda Brahmachari and three unidentified people Has been made an accused.

Threat of arrest, anticipatory bail application filed

Ever since the FIR was registered, the sword of arrest has been hanging over Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda. To avoid possible police action, an application for anticipatory bail has been filed in the court on his behalf. Now all eyes are on the medical report and the next legal action of the police.
